Tilly FL6: mantle attachment

    Hi all,


    I would like to know how the mantle is attached to a Tilly FL6 burner,
    especially the underside of the mantle as the Tilly FL6 uses 2 hole mantles:


    Does one have to fit it with the attaching cord on the outside or do you attach the mantle with the cord on the inside...


    I used the last option before and it works fine...but I would like to know the exact way to get things done once and for all :done:

    I have to use my FL6 tonight and tomorrow :-)
    I also found this thing about a similar Tilly AL series lamp...
    Still it's not to specific about mantle attachment :-)

    you can attach the cord in or outside.
    It's nearly the same. Better is inside, but you can make it how ever you like and what better for your fingers. ;) :D

    I did a outward attachment and the FL6 works fine...the mantle spreads quite wide and that seems to enhance the light output a bit...
    Still, next time I'll go for a inside attachment again to check the difference...
