Mein Erste Petromax...828.

Hey Leute ...ich freu mir ab dass ich hier mitmachen konnte....Danke aller ihnen wohl sehr!
Bis einde letzes jahres hatte ich keine petromax....Hatte wohl ein anchor und so hatte ich ein erfahrung was ich mir zu erwarten konnte...
Ich bin der letzes 12 jahre im Englischem Festival's dorf ,Glastonbury zuhause....und da es gibt hier im england wenigen Maxen waren ich vom meinung dass veilliecht ich ein Bw maxe kriegen sollte....Aber , weissen sie...Ich hatte grossen glucks! Auf der Auction-site war ein maxe dass im bild kann ich nicht gut sehen ....auch hatte ich nicht so viel erwartete...der verkaufer hatte es auch nicht gut gennant....im england ob man eine starklicht verkuaft schreibt man "Petromax,like Tilley" Aber sie hatte nur "Petromax" geschreibt...ich begonne ein bisschein zu hoffe mir....und ja ..luckt es....Ich kreigt fur rondom Funfzig Teuros (inc post) Eine beinahe neuwertig maxe aus 1961!....Ich War so froh....Der lampe is zur meine lieblings leuchte geworden...hier sind ein paar bilder des leuchtes:-

Yes, I can certainly believe that....compared to my Anchor the feeling...and the action are more ....silky....a proper bright lady...One day in the deep cold...maybe around Christmas I was moving a pile of Stones in a garden to build a stone wall....by the light of my Anchor 500Hk and the petromax and I found myself gazing at the p'max like in a trance.She was hanging in a tree ...the aesthetik...the optik was absolute class!...The way the Glass sat in the tragestell....Yes....the Petromax has affected me...Already I dream of a BW maxe with Univergaser..my dreams and wishes Table lamp hanglamp spheretable lamp green and black 2827....little baby......yes Max Graetz has affected me also like Carl Auer and Murdoch and young and Winsor.But for the moment I must dream!
i have had time to read some of the different critics of the design of the Maxe.....Well to me ...the design is wonderful....definitely a beginner needs to excercise caution....but to someone with some knowledge of lamps who services their own lamp well.....a petromax is then a superbly versatile precision machine. Yes....I burn benzine in mine....and also in the anchors....and diesel too,in the anchors ...in my Maxe I only burn benzine or benzine-petro mischung due to I do not want the hat to change colour....not on this one....but god willing when I have some BW...maxes or modern Maxes...i shall burn the hotter fuels too.
I am at the moment about to transform the wendel vergaser from one of my anchors into a univergaser....I was thinking to cut the wendel off and then to silver solder a peice of pipe to the end.....
Anyway yes...I must drink to the health of Max Graetz in the heavens for the service he gave to humanity when he gave this lamp.

Ohhh and also if there is someone who wants to exchange a BW petromax(maybe with Uni-vergaser) but a good 50's or60's one....I have an english x246b from 1966(better Burner than new ) Which has only been fired twice by me ....and once as a test I think..by the first owner...There are a few bits of damage to the paint from bad storage but otherwise a new unfired lamp which I have fired to test...I would very gladly exchange this Tilley for a max...Maybe there is someone who has many BW maxes who would like to own a nice tilley from the same period.

Ah, du hatte so ...ein....Ich habe auch eine davon.....de meine ist noch nicht fertig...sie lecht ein bisschien und sie ist notig....muss gesaubered und dichtung gewechseld u.s.w.Deine ist schon custom.....und brennt sie wohl.?/...Ich fuhle dass der alter von deine ..so funfziger jahren glaube ich.....is viele robuster dann heute....aber fuhle ich dass auch der brenner bessere functioneerd as heutigen brenners....den moderne hatten nur eine befestigung ins dach...Ich glaube dass die festnung hier ursacht eine etwas falschere brennsverhaltnis als der alten brenner mit drei mutteren....Na , Gute
