Using CO2 bike pump with the Petromax

Hi All

I am wondering if I could use a CO2 bike pump along with the EZ pump device from Pelam?

I am not quite sure if a CO2 bike pumps CO2 into whatever it is pumping or if it only uses the CO2 as a "driver" for pumping air from an intake on the pump and into the tire??

Does any of you know how the pump work - has anyone tried it - and if it is CO2 it pumps with, will that be a problem/dangerous to use with Petromax?

Hi Casper,

it will cause no harm.
There is nothing dangerous if you use your co2-pump.

Hi Casper,

CO2-pumps are no problem until you are looking forward to use the Rapid-preheater. So, if you preheat with wood-alcohol, there is no problem at all. Those bike-pumps are using the CO2 directly to inflate the tire, they are not using the CO2 as a driver for the surrounding air.
