HK/CP 150 Lighting Problem

  • Hi Just purchases a 150 and I'm having serious trouble getting the mantel to light properly.

I can't get a white light. I have used both methods to light the mantel but get the same result. The best I get is a hallo of flame around the mantel. The matel has also gone black with carbon. I have adjusted the gap between the jet and the mixing shaft to 6mm (can't adjust any further to required 7mm).

What am I doing wrong? HELP

  • Hello Martin,

    first at all, :welcome: here

Hm, you got yourself a lantern which is often called similar to the nicest looking woman you do not want to be married with :naughty:

But it is not that worse - I think, you are using the original mantles?
Those are causing problems, as they become too small while sinthering.

Try to get some Coleman #21 mantles to tie on (not those with wireclip)
they do not like the Rapid-start, but they work perfekt in a 150CP and bring much more light :done:

    Good luck, Björn
