Hello Ken,
very little is known about the company Max Hänel, Schlettau, formerly Beierfeld. So far we don't know how big this company actually was and how many lanterns it produced at that time.
Many of these lanterns were certainly exported. I have already seen Taifun lanterns in India, but also in China.
Compared to other lanterns, however, they are quite rare.
