Hallo folk,
In these days I've bought some lamps in GB: a Tilley Stormlight, a Vapalux and a Bialaddin. All work pretty well, but all original mantles have black spots when burning. Using the lamps for more time, the situation is better, but after circa 10 Hours of burning some black spot is still evident. I've tried to heat the mantles with a blowtorch with minor improvemets. I would like to read opinions about this fact, may be the mantles were exposed to humidity, or is a problem of age or.....
From other points of view these lamps are very pretty, easy to fire up, silent, and with a " romantic" light
