Difference betweek CP500 and CP350 mantles

Hi, maybe this information is already somewhere in the forum but I couldn’t find it…

I restored an old CP350 (with a 350 nozzle) and tested it with some CP500 mantles, no problems it works properly

I also ordered some CP400 mantles at Pelam and tested this weekend to see any difference, I couldn’t test because 2 of them got broken during first burning…maybe due to their quality

So I continue using CP500 mantles as they seem work good, but I’m wondering what the real difference is?

Do you know the answer? Is there any issue using CP500 mantles on CP350 lanterns?

Pelam Mantles are very small.
It would be better if you use the 500HK Mantles for a 250HK Petromax.
For this size they are perfect.

Better you use 500/600HK Luxor Mantles for a 350 or 500 HK Lamp.
The Difference between 350/500 ist not soo big.
So You can use the 500/600HK Mantles for both Nozzles.

I do use 500cp mantles on 350cp lanterns as the expand less the are less sensitive to travel and hold better
the will be a bit denser on 350cp then on 500cp but could be used without any problem.
cant comment on the Pelam mantles as I never used them

What are, in your opinion, the most valuable mantles? I've seen somewhere in the forum a suggestion for the Coleman Top Gold...
