Und was is diese für ein optimus ??? und was ist der preis für ein wie diese..

I will buy the 821er - i love the brass look and the proportions of this lamp - I have a newer brass 821/250 ..it burns so nice and quiet

Would you happend to know this optimus too - im not sure i have seen the model with green top before ...

Hi guys I have been trying to find out what a fair price for a brass petromax 821 Baby in brass ...would be ..

But cant find any on ebay ect ...

I found one on ebay - for sale 400$ ...!!

Can someone help .. to give an estimate what a 821 baby is worth ...

I got a protection plate for my new 500hk ...but i later got hands on a 828 and just for fun tried to put on the protection plate - worked fine ..only small adjustment of the piece of plate going up around the vaporizer....seems to workl fine

I just got an offer to buy some boxes of Verits Falk 300/400 mantels ..

Are they any good ?? or what kind of mantel is the must rugged ..

Ha ha - I bought a Teepee tent and was looing for a lighting source ..and decided to get a petromax after watching youtube videos ...

Got a 500hk ..discovered that when it burned it was the most "cosy" thing outside in the summer evenings ... Later i got a 828er ..and the a 250 ..maby a 821 ..i think ..Now i dont want any more..unless i spot one one some flea market..hmm or in the classified or on the bay
There is just some magic about these things - so simple nice mecanics so nostalgic ...i dont know

"btw i fell for the two holw mantel holder - I however managed to bend it to center the ceramic holder down under the steel nozzel but but .. the damn thing keep loosening when pumping ..and the mantels did not fit to good .. back to basic ..but i must admit i have had a few ceramic nozzels fall out or getting loose when pumping laso before i got the steel one .. ..next i destroyed a ceramic one trying to tighten it ... so i actually use the steel one now ..

But i see pelam has a : Nozzle HK250 (High quality, oxyd ceramic): Cross section dimension of the winding Ø : 22mm This nozzle is as hard as a rubin.

Is this any good ?????

I started with a china 500hk .. then got a 1960 828 wow nice quality ...

I was looking for a brass petro and found a old 821 ( i think ) its a 250 indead - but with a "unoriginal" #121 glassholder - so no type shield.

My questions are - I took it apart and discovered the nozzel is a 500 ??
it burns with a pelam 200/300 hk mantel and actually look fine -

But it gets pretty hot on the tank ...

My question is what parts are the difference with the 250 350 and 500 ...

Is it the diameter of the #50 nipplel , size of mantel, and cleaning needle only ??
what about the ceramic thing its obvious of various size ..

And what if one where to use a 500 nipplel and a 500 mantel on a 250..
would it over heat ???

And if i used a 250 nipple and 250 mantel on my 828er would it light less and use less fuel ...

I cant believe I had to live for almos 40 years before i was introduced to these lamps ... I love em

Yes - I also bought a "only used once" hk500 from china ..but all the websites selling new petromax - states that they are good quality ..

However my 500 worked fine - but but i had to replace - som stuff to get it running .... Also I was annoyed that the petromax logo looked like a copy.. faded an uncomplete ...

I learn that these lamps are quite cheap - if you buy wholesale ...you can have them at around 50 eur ..

So i decided to get a 828er - and WOOOOOOOW a world in difference every thing feels better - things have a tight fit ..and yes Ill recomend every one to get one of these instead of a new .. china lamp

But how many new ones can be available lots for sale here in denmark - in new unused condition they sell for around 75 - 85 eur .. a bargain compared to the 500hk
