Alcohol/Ethanol adapter

  • light with fluctuations causes in phenomenon called "leydenfrost", ethanol in the carburetor get to gas form too early ( similar like gas "bubbles") and came in oscillation mode, so the gas and the light pulse, depending of pressure eg.
Solution: it is nessesary to fill the vertical carburetor pipe to minimize the volume for liquid ethanol in it to minimize this gas "bubbles".
Do you put the metal gaze in the upper half of the pipe?
If yes, but fluctuate: replace it, look after 6mm glasfibre line, like for oven doors. put this line in the upper half of the pipe.

if you need a maintenance to replace the pipe, look below in this chapter..

  • Hi Jan,
    as Jürgen explained,
what you need is called in German "Vergaserstopfung".
The search function will guide yu to some usefull entries.
Google Translator will help you understand the German text.

in brief: this means filling the lower end of the upper part of the carburetor with a roll of brass gaze (very fine mesh) so that it almost fills the complete pipe, except the space for the needle push-rod in the middle.
