    Hallo Marcel,

    der Brenner deiner Lampe ist ein Spritusglühlicht, dass mit Spiritus, einem Glühstrumpf und einem geraden Gaszylinder betrieben wird.

    Man kann den Brenner aber auch gegen einen Petroleumbrenner austauschen. Das Gewinde passt dafür auch.

  • Stellabrenner 20‘‘‘ wie zusammenlöten

    die Zahnstange fädelst du von oben ein.

    Die passt nur in eine Richtung.

    Die musst du dann nur noch an die Scheibe des Dochtschlittens löten. Dabei halt nur nicht so viel Hitze aufbringen, dass sich die Scheibe vom Schlitten löst…
    Vorher bietet sich natürlich an, alles gründlich zu reinigen.

  • 20 linieger Idealbrenner Docht einfädeln Anleitung gesucht

    Moin Kai,

    Man fährt den Dochtschlitten ganz heraus. Dann werden die Krallen, die später in den Docht greifen eingefahren und von einer kleinen Hülse verdeckt. Dadurch kann man den Docht von unten fast ohne Widerstand einziehen.
    Zieh den Docht so weit hoch, dass ca 5cm von der Dochthülse verdeckt sind. Wenn du dann den Dochtschlitten nach oben drehst, ist noch genug Weg vorhanden, dass die Krallen greifen, bevor der Docht ganz oben angekommen ist.

    Wenn der Docht schief sitzt, nochmal herunter drehen und richten.

    Ganz zum Schluß den Docht unten festklemmen.

    das ist ein Walzenbrenner, ein Vorläufer des Kosmos. Schöner Fund, die wurden vom Kosmos gegen 1870 komplett verdrängt und sind entsprechend selten zu finden.

  • Spiritus Glühlichtbrenner "Spiritus-Lampe "´Piccolo´"

    Here we have a rare Hugo Schneider 'Piccolo' alcohol/methylated-spirit fueled vapour lamp mantle burner.

    The burner vaporizes the fuel to produce a hot blue Bunsen flame, this heats an upright gas mantle (not included) to incandescence to produce light rather than simply using the flame as with other lamp burners.

    Instead of having a continuous 'pilot' light inside the burner to continue the vapour process this lamp uses a flat wick inside the burner to preheat and start the vapour production, the copper rod that protrudes transfers the heat from the mantle/flame to replace the need for a pilot light so the starter wick can be extinguished once the burner is going.

    This burner was produced for the French market as it has the French words for 'open' and 'close' stamped on the burner where the on/off regulator is, also an applied metal label with French words saying something along the lines of 'Patented in France and abroad', also there are German patents, one I searched 'D.R.G.M. Nº110998' brought up an 1899 Patent for an applicant by the name of 'Louis Denayrouze', so part of this burner design or principle goes back to that date.

    The burner is made to fit regular 14 line screw collars.

    Condition, burner appears excellent, the nickel plate is near mint, the only mild negative I see is the rubber knob on the open/close valve has a split/scratch around the middle, nothing really noticeable and it's not about to fall off, but is mentioned for accuracy, also there is no glass chimney or mantle.

    Dimensions, burner is around 12 cm tall from collar to the top mesh jet and around 17 cm if including the copper heat transfer rod, would take a chimney 38 mm fitting.

    Ach so, was auch sein kann ist, dass das Logo auf der Rückseite entfiel, nachdem Gebrüder Wolff die Produktion von Schuster & Baer übernommen haben. Das war irgendwann zwischen 1906 und 1911.

    Es gab Patent Reform Brenner von ganz unterschiedlichen Anbietern, auch von Brenner Herstellern. Das Patent ist von Schuster & Baer. Auf der Rückseite der DSR findet sich meist das S&B Logo, was sie als Hersteller ausweist. Manchmal allerdings auch nicht. Das könnte dann ein Hinweis auf eine Lizenz Fertigung sein.
