Hallo Andy thank you for the info, that is very very reasonable price in fact i am very surprised i expected the price to be at least double.
-
Hi Willi the thread does not seem to work, but just 80 pieces that will cause a great demand and sure to generate a great price.
A great addition to a collection

Hallo Marcus thank you very much for your comment, they are a beautiful lantern so much detail and embossed lettering.
I am a bit of both mostly collector, but i do love to use them all my stoves blow torches and lanterns are restored to good working order.
-
Hallo Wino thank you for comment i have added a few more pics, showing the quality of the Feuerhand over a cheap made one
-
Hallo forum i have a few more pics of the beautiful Feuerhand 276 next to the cheap unnamed lantern to show what the difference in quality.
These pics show how superior the Feuerhand is to the cheap lantern, the first pic shows both lanterns side by side, the black lantern has more dirt and has some over spray of red oxide paint on it.
But you can see how the quality build of both lanterns. The second pic is of the cheaper lantern's tank as you can see there is no embossing on the tank or the filler cap unlike the Feuerhand.
The third pic shows the quality of both the burners.
The last pic is of both the lanterns lit

Good morning forum, yesterday in the post arrived my new Feuerhand 276 baby special.
I have been thinking of buying a good quality hurricane lantern for some time now, i have a couple of very cheap and nasty quality ones in the shed.I was amazed and very pleased with the very high quality, i love the zink electro plating
far nicer than the normal galvanised type even the good quality lanterns.Another great feature i love about the Feuerhand is the beautiful embossed lettering and logos on the tank and chimney cap.
I paid £18 for this beauty far more than the cheap one in the shed, but it well worth the price with its beautiful build quality and design and the light out put is better.
It looks so nice it will look fantastic just as a ornament.

Hi Marcel welcome to Pelam, no thread is out of date on here I am not sure if we are allowed to give any advice on price ranges.
I know its not allowed to discuss the price we pay on ebay for our blowtorches lanterns etc.
It is a difficult question I did not pay much for mine as it was not in mint condition.
I would pay what you feel comfortable with, a blowtorch in good condition with its original instructions box etc, and one that has never been used would fetch a higher price.Have a look on the auction sites for similar torches to see what kind of price they fetch would be my best advice

Hall Wen1g, very nice indeed superb blue powerful flame
-
Hallo Erwin danke fur showing the pictures, I have two blowtorches very similar to the ones in your pic,.
The smaller one I have is a Barthel and the large monster is a Monitor, my Barthel gives a impressive flame and has a very loud roar, but the large monitor is in a different league with the size of the flame.
Here are some pics of my two similar lotlampens.
-
Hallo Erwin that sounds a great collector's meet, I am very pleased it was a success for you all.
It would be brilliant if Gregor or any other collector who took some pics would upload them, those monster blowtorches are so interesting seeing them in flame.
-
Hi Kiki und Karli many kind thanks for your complements.
It ist a nice feeling when we bring back to life our blowtorches lanterns and stoves, that have not been used in many years seeing them doing the job they were made for.

Hi forum here are a few flame shot pictures I have taken today of the Primus 821, it was nice to see it back in working order after many years.
It is a very nice general purpose blowtorch/lotlamen, ideal for soldering paint stripping plumbing etc
-
Here are a few more pictures of the Primus 821 restoration, all cork seals the filler cap pump valve washer have been replaced with Viton rubber.
The Wick in the burner pick up tube has been replaced, the old wick and wire was really stuck in the tube and I could not pull it out so I had to very carefully drill out the old wick and rusted wire.
I made a new wick from strands of cotton from a floor mop, and replaced the old steel wire that the wick is attached to with a new brass 1mm wire. The steel handle has been repainted, as this had some surface rust on, all so the control knob/wheel has been painted, the valve spindle gland has been packed with graphite tape.
I will upload some more pictures of the 821 working may be tomorrow.
-
Hi Grischa very good sound advice, sometimes we can get carried away over restore to a point where it has more shine than when it was new.
-
Hi Wen, danke for the compliment.
I have stripped down so far, the filler cap washer is made of cork, and so is the pump valve pip. both have dried up so they need to be replaced with Viton rubber.
I will repaint the steel handle, as there is some light surface rust, but I am not sure about the brass work good advice Wen on the patina I may leave it as it is.

Hi forum here is my latest score, it ist a Primus 821 benzene lotlampen/blowtorch.
It has the letters 9X stamped on the tank, Primus often dated there stoves blowtorches with a letter for the year, the letter X indicates 1933
The two pictures below is how the lotlampen arrived, I have all ready dismantled it ready for restoration, there will be more pictures in the week as I carry out the restoration.

Hi Kiki und Karli many thanks for your all ways kind complement's, I have quite a few hobbies I like I have been collecting old blowlamps stoves etc now for about 25 years.
I do get a lot of satisfaction when find something like this old torch that has not worked for years, and restoring it to working condition, and from time using them for the purpose they were made
-
Hi Wen thank you for your kind compliements
Hi Carsten many thanks for your very kind words of complements, I want to find or a soldering attachment for it to really complete the restoration.
If I cant find a original replacement, I may make a substitute replacement from a old soldering iron
-
