Rapid Igniter

    Can anyone advise please ?
    The Rapid Preaheater on my 500 cp seems to burn very fiercely and tends to destroy the mantle.
    Can the flame be adjusted and if so how ?
    Or is this normal, it burns like a blowtorch for paint stripping !!!
    Any help would be appreciated Thank you.

    Yes it burns like a blowtorch.
    Try to use less pressure only up to 1 Bar.

    Your advice was good. I reduced pressure to 1 bar the flame was much softer and the mantle was OK.
