Here is a video clip of my two petromaxes...One of the maxes , the ex-BW.. ex-German Armed Forces lantern has freshly arrived from Germany. I am very pleased 2 be the happy new owner of an ex German Army lamp which dear Steffen (.G.) has sent me in good exchange for a N.O.S. sixties Tilley Stormlight( the kind with the better, old tilley burner)
I am thankful to this, the pelam site for having the "Tauschbourse" which has enabled me to realise my dream of owning an ex BW lantern 
...many thanks also to Steffen, who was kind enough to send a "Luxor" mantle with the light ....this meant that I was able to try the Luxor brand and to rate that as an excellent mantle...normally I only prefer the old Thorium mantles for their splendid colour and their strong light....however this Luxor mantles come up very well in my reckoning...Anyways, here is the video clip:-
