Pressure Loss

  • Hi My pressure relief screw is leaking no matter how tight I make it. I have tried replacing the screw (part No 13) but this has made no difference. Is there an O ring that needs replacing? Thanks for your help.

  • Do you mean the little screw at the manometer?
There is no O ring, just metal on metal.

Most probably you have there a little notch in the hole or something like that. Try to close the pressure relief screw tight (with a gripper), but be careful - not too tight

  • Yes, it is the screw which you use to turn off the lamp by releasing the pressure. i will try with a gripper and see if this does the trick. Thanks for your help

  • You can try to plane the surface in the manometer with a drill, which has do be thin enough that it doesn´t damage the thread in the manometer. Try turning the drill by hand/fingers first, before using a machine.

  • If it were a common issue maybe it might actually be sensible to add some type of O ring if possible, to provide a proper seal.
