PicoStar Restored!

  • Hi all
As I want to thank you all with the help about my Picostar I would like to share a few pictures of the restored lantern (finally) :D

Took me forever (no time with work :( ) but I finally did it
With a check valve and a needle from a 500cp Petromax and a lead washer for the check valve I had to cut down to right size to fit.

All work is done and the lantern is camping ready :prost:

Thank again for the advices on this forum
Off to the next project my 1930's Petromax 286

  • Hello Keusen

    Thank you!

Well it took me a lot of hours for cleaning - cant say exactly as I do it when after i get home from work and put the kids to bed - until the wife starts to nag - but I can say polishing alone took more then 10 hours

The lantern came is a good condition but covered with some sort of sticky stuff it took a long time to get rid of.

The lantern work OK - I still have a small problem of pulsing but it burns and hold pressure nicely - the lust time it ran it was more then an hour

Next thing it to see why I have the pulsing of light - but that will be easy (I hope)
