  • Good evening,

First, Well done for your superb web site who is the reference !

Indeed, I am a french speleo and I collect also theses lamps !

I am interested by the carbid lamps of any type (car/moto/mine/...) and of all manufacters.... and I contact you because I have a new carbide Lamp (attached pictures)... and I would like to know the nationality about this lamp ? Could you help me please because, this lamp is a mystery at present !

    Thanks a lot in advance.

I am thus only interested by the catalogues of manufacturing or advertising executive relating to lighting with acetylene and I'm ready to make exchange !

  • Bonjour Oim,

    Welcome here :welcome:

I think, your Lamp is made by Mercier, Nancy in France, because those hold the Star-Trademark.

I found out that in the Suisse-museale-PDF, you will find when you search google for:

    "Katalog der Lampen und Laternen
in der Sammlung des Schweizer Armeemuseums"

I could also offer to you a PDF with a historic catalouge from
    "Albert Boutin Lamps from 1925"

    Best regards, Björn

Thx Björn, but I think it is not a Mercier becasue there are only 7 lamps from Mercier & sons :
