• Hallo Lampen freunde

I think I caught something special. It's a Rhewum ST 15. Rhewum is not a very popular brand for many collectors but this one I never saw before. Hot blast lanterns with crossed wire globe protectors are quite rare and they usualy have a siebplatte with a hinge so the globe can be turned over. This siebplatte is mounted like a normal hot blast lantern.
    The globe is tauch lakiert.

  • Yes Henk, you are right.
This is a rare lantern, I only knew three persons in this forum, who have one of them, and you are the fourth now.
I have a Rhewum ST 15, too, but with a clear glass.
Mine is in the same condition as yours, wich is a quite good one.
This Lamp was made after the second world war, as all Rhewum lamps are, because Rhewum startet producing lanterns in the year 1947.
Is the glass in your lantern made of coloured glass or is it a clear one with a red coating on it?

    Stefan

  • I do not know, if you really are the fourth one.
You are the fourth one, I know of.
If the coating is in a good condition, you are in luck. If not, you can remove it and the result will be a normal clear glass.
